Meshes and 3D
Meshes, texture bakes, Blender and top-down maps, all from code.
BlenderService runs a Python script in a headless Blender and returns its output, result and exit code, and BlenderJob follows a long job while it runs: both work today. EditableMesh and MeshService open, edit and save meshes, BakeContext bakes textures, MeshBatch and RenderCamera draw many copies of a mesh, and MapScene builds top-down maps.
Runs today
BlenderServiceRun Python inside Blender from your program, with no window: hand it input, follow what it prints and get its result back.BlenderJobOne Blender job while it runs: follow every line it prints and its progress, then wait for its result or stop it.
Up and coming
shot check knows these classes today; programs run them once the native runtime lands.
EditableMeshBuild, reshape, split and recolour triangle meshes from code.MeshServiceOpen and save meshes in the formats you work with, and run the heavy mesh jobs from code.BakeContextMerge many textured meshes into one texture: bake their colours or normals onto one mesh's UVs.MapSceneTurn a Roblox place into a top-down map: group its parts into layers, scatter fills, drape sheets and hand the scene to Blender.MapLayerOne layer of a top-down map: items you add, scatter or drape.MeshBatchDraw many copies of one mesh in a single call, for maps, icons and thumbnails.RenderCameraPoint a camera at your mesh batches and get colour, depth, normals and positions back.MapLayerExportTurn a map layer Blender rendered into packed sheets and a height map, ready to upload.
