ShotScript Editor
The window you work in.
shot open opens a System project in a window of its own: Explorer, Properties, Editor, Output and History, as panes you split, resize, swap and maximize. In Studio, Explorer, Properties and Editor dock as one window beside your place.
New
HistoryNew
Every change is listed with who made it and when. Go back to any step, or bring back a dated copy of the project.
Run and outputNew
Run (F5) saves and runs the project; prints, warnings and errors appear live, and an error opens its line. Stop (Shift+F5) ends everything it started.
A window for each projectNew
shot open shows a project in its own window: objects, properties, and scripts checked as you type. Opening it again brings that window forward.
Everything new in ShotScript Editor
Up and coming
- The ShotScript Editor as an app of its own, one project at a time; today's window stays as the dock in Studio.
- Run works like Play in Studio: on a copy of the project, never saving it, and a run closes the windows and programs it started.
- A Problems pane with every error in the project.
- Quick open, a command palette and search across the project.
- Find usages and project-wide rename in the Editor.
- Copy, paste, duplicate and multi-select in the Explorer.
- An Outline pane and a view of the compiled Luau.
- A command bar, and diffs in the History pane.
