ReactiveNode
Do maths between wires. Feed in numbers, vectors or colours, or write a few lines of Luau, and the result follows its inputs every frame.
A ReactiveNode is a card in a NodeLayout. Its inputs are its attributes; its reactive properties are outputs only it sets. Kind Luau runs the function its Source returns, function(self) setting self.Result from self.A and the other inputs; built-in kinds do Math, Lerp, Scale, Offset and Clamp per datatype. Wires in and out are followed every frame, and it recomputes only when an input changed. Add it from Add > Math or Add > Advanced > Luau node.
Properties
Reactive
| Name | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kind | string | "Luau" Luau, Number Math, Number Value, Number Lerp, Number Clamp, Vector2 Math, Vector2 Scale, Vector2 Value, Vector2 Lerp, Vector3 Math, Vector3 Scale, Vector3 Value, Vector3 Lerp, Color3 Math, Color3 Scale, Color3 Value, Color3 Lerp, CFrame Math, CFrame Offset, CFrame Lerp, NumberRange Lerp | Luau runs the function its Source returns; the built-in kinds, like Math, Lerp and Clamp, call the real datatype functions. |
Scripts
| Operation | string | scripts only | For the Math, Scale and Offset kinds, the operation, which decides the B input and the Result type. |
row from LuaSourceContainer
| Source | string | For the Luau kind, code returning a function(self) that sets the node's reactive properties, like self.Result. |
Node
| Position | Vector2 | Properties window only | Where the node's card is placed in its NodeLayout. |
