DropShadow

Lift anything off the background with a soft shadow, cast away from a light you aim.

Photoshop's Drop Shadow: a blurred copy of the layer's shape behind it, Distance px away from the light at Angle (120 is the upper left). Spread grows the shape before Size px of blur; Color, BlendMode (Multiply) and Opacity set its look and Noise breaks it up. A see-through layer shows its shadow through it.
